Super Lawyers has named Johns, Flaherty & Collins attorneys Brent Smith and Brandon Prinsen among the top attorneys in Wisconsin for 2021.
This is the 14th consecutive year Wisconsin Super Lawyers has recognized Smith on the list that honors the state’s top 5% of lawyers. And it’s the seventh time in 11 years and fifth consecutive year the magazine has named Prinsen a Rising Star, which recognizes the top 2.5% of Wisconsin lawyers who are 40 or younger.
Smith and Prinsen were selected based on a rigorous, multi-phase rating process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with third-party research, and each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Smith was recognized for his work as a defense lawyer in civil litigation. In addition to litigation, he focuses on mediation, employment law, insurance, real estate and personal injury law. Indicating his extensive courtroom experience and high ethical standards, Smith is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and one of only 73 active Wisconsin members of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Prinsen was honored for his work in business and corporate law. He has been practicing law for 12 years and focuses on business and corporate law, real estate, estate planning and probate.
